Programme Overview

Leaders are often taught external skills – communication, strategy, execution – but the quality of our leadership is mostly shaped by our inner world: how we relate to ourselves, manage reactivity, navigate emotion, and stay anchored in uncertainty.

Inside Out Leadership invites leaders to lead with awareness and presence, responding rather than reacting. Grounded in the 5Cs: Curious, Calm, Clear, Courageous, and Compassionate, the programme builds capacities that sustain resilience and enable wise, human leadership.

Leaders will:

  • Cultivate self-awareness of their inner and outer world

  • Deepen presence in the moments that matter

  • Respond with resourcefulness and reflection

  • Model behaviours that create thriving cultures

The aim is not perfection in all five Cs, but continuous cultivation - staying grounded, agile, and human, especially when it matters most.

Programme Content

The programme introduces you to:

  • Psychological insights – understanding states of mind, communication patterns, and the stories that shape (and limit) performance.

  • Practical tools and frameworks – building resilient habits, responding wisely to challenges, and strengthening relationships and communication.

  • Protective practices – reducing stress and burnout through compassion and kindness, being tough on issues but kind to people (including yourself).

You’ll be guided by two experienced facilitators who bring both lived leadership journeys and extensive global coaching expertise.

Recent evaluation results

+28% in wellbeing and balance
✅ +20% in emotional regulation
✅ +15% in self-awareness
✅ +12% in interpersonal skills

An external, third-party qualitative and quantitative evaluation showed that Inside Out had a statistically positive impact on 12 measures of resilience and wellbeing.

On completion of the programme, participants were better able to:

Our findings also show that:

Participants became more curious and open-minded when under pressure and they noted a clear shift in how they respond to challenges at work:

“I tend to try and fix it, but I am now trying to stop and pause before responding which means I don’t agree to solve everyone’s problems.”

“[I deal with challenge in a] more systematic way - power of the pause - I balance between the balcony and dance floor - being present and visible when/as much as possible.”

“Sometimes (I) jump to worst case scenario but I am dealing with this now.”

“I now make sure that I take time to stop and think, step back and try to see the wider picture. Listen to what people are and aren’t saying - [I ask myself] who is the situation actually a challenge for?”
